Gabe Adiv here, CEO of TuneUp.
I just wanted to take a minute and let all of you know that there are some really exciting things going on here at headquarters. First of all, while some of you might have already seen it, we’ve totally revamped our UI. The changes we have made have had a lot to do with your suggestions, both functionally and the overall look and feel. Hopefully, you’re as psyched as we are about it and if you aren’t, we want to know why.
Secondly, starting today we are going to be released in Apple retail stores worldwide. We are obviously thrilled to have this kind of exposure and more than anything we are very much looking forward to providing TuneUp to many more users. So, as of today, you can go to your local Apple store and purchase TuneUp, shiny white box and all. A very cool (and reasonably priced) gift idea for those music fans in your life.
Thirdly, with this latest release there are some great new sub-features, upgrades and bug fixes including:
Field-Specific Cleaning: TuneUp will now allow users to set which metadata it saves by default. This is also available on a per album basis, which is great for “mixtapes” where you want to save artist/track name, but keep the original “mixtape” album label (i.e. Gabe’s Head Noddin’ Party Mix ’09).
Toggle “Greatest Hits”: TuneUp will allow users to disable “Greatest Hits” compilations as an option for matching songs to albums. This feature makes it easier for users to keep songs organized by their original album.
Playlists on Mac: Mac users can now choose whether they’d like TuneUp to create playlists of dirty/cleaned songs.
It is our number one goal to make sure TuneUp works all the time, and without flaws. That said, in the world of software, it’s hard to be perfect; so please continue to let us know if you come across anything that’s not working or that you would like us to change. We truly listen to your feedback. Finally, thank you to everyone who has been with us on Twitter, their blogs, our Facebook page, and telling their friends – you guys are the reason we are able to continue doing what we’re doing.
Please keep spreading the TuneUp word and be sure to follow us. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly at gabeATtuneupmediaDOTcom with anything you need to bring to the forefront. I promise I will get back to you.
