25 Random Things – by Captain TuneUp

Remember this! Yup, Captain TuneUp himself decided to take a stab at the popular Facebook note and divulge 25 random things about himself…

Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you (or if I already know a lot about you, I’m curious to see what you’ll post!).

  • 1. I prefer Twizzlers over Red Vines.
  • 2. In college I got my masters in audio metadatacology with an emphasis in badassery. Stay in school kids!
  • 3. Aside from being the face of TuneUp, I also moonlight as a stunt-double in Russian action films and enjoy long walks on the moon.
  • 4. I’ve met the Twitter bird. He’s cool. A little talkative, but friendly.
  • 5. Music is on at all times. At. All. Times. Doesn’t matter what kind, it’s all good. I even have headphones built into my TuneUp helmet. Beat that!
  • 6. My dog, Miles, has 3 legs and enjoys barking at skateboards in his free time. He eats cottage cheese.
  • 7. I’m a Gemini. Whatever that means.
  • 8. My helmet, which is never removed, is made from platinum and unicorn horn*. It is indestructible and good for withstanding pesky bugs.
  • 9. I am ethically opposed to man-scaping.
  • 10. I’m currently wearing steel-toed boots. Not like you can ever tell though…
  • 11. Believe it or not, I am amazing with kids.
  • 12. There is not an instrument known to human kind that I cannot play… well, except for the oboe – that sh*t is hard!
  • 13. I have been known to put on some post-punk electro goth in the office Sonos. Shh… don’t tell anyone.
  • 14. As seen above, I am a stickler for genre-tagging. It’s cool if you aren’t… but I like my detailed audio-catagories. One of my favorites is “Surf & Garage Revival”.
  • 15. I have an extensive collection of bootlegs – wait – I mean boots. Yeah, I love boots.
  • 16. Everyone calls me Captain. Or The Dude.
  • 17. Those lightning bolts are real.
  • 18. I have a secret obsession with “The Hills” & “The City”. But Heidi & Spencer are as good as dead to me.
  • 19. Next to the TuneUp HQ, the next best place to find me is the mosh pit of a concert. (Look for the antenna)
  • 20. My favorite drink is Makers Mark on the rocks. Or PBR out of the can.
  • 21. There is nothing more annoying than having “Track 01″s in a music library**! It’s the equivalent to herpes… or hiccups. Or both. At the same time.
  • 22. I have 5 tattoos: each of the icons in the TuneUp tabs, and ‘Automagically’ written across my torso. (A-la Tupac’s ‘Thug Life’)
  • 23. I’m not a fan of regular-sized cupcakes. Only mini ones. They fit so awesomely in my mouth… if it’s ever open. I tend to be tight-lipped.
  • 24. My favorite bird is a pigeon. Because they’re street… and need cleaning.
  • 25. The left side of my face is shockingly unphotogenic. Hence, the profile.

*PETA-approved, of course.

** Except for maybe missing album art. Duh.
