I tried that and it still recognizes a previous version... and then tries to remove and an error happens.... so i dont think this will work

After some additional analysis, it seems the crux of the issue is that it looks like the user account that created "C:\Program Files (x86)" has since been deleted. I don't have good step-by-step instruction on how to do this, but if you modify things so that your user or the BUILTIN\Administrators group takes ownership of "c:\Program Files (x86)", I think the installer will start to work. Clearly, we need to make some changes to the installer so that it is not so strict on ownership or change ownership if it detects that it's not the same as the current user and the current user is an admin...but that won't be until the next version of the installer (about 1 month from now). Where is TuneUp in the registry(regedit), i cannot find it in Regedit and I cannot uninstall now or try to install. The files are not there in My Program files after I used Restore from the recycle bin....
Here are some pictures, im guessing this is the problem. I cant change it either, odd... ![]()
