Director of Product Management
Looking for a new career challenge? If you're ready to seek new challenges in the exciting world of digital music, TuneUp Media is seeking a proactive candidate with excellent communication and program/project management to be a Director of Product Management at our headquarters located in San Francisco.
Responsibilities:
- Work with engineering, graphic design, outbound marketing to bring new products and new features to existing products from idea to release
- Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
- Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products
- Writing specifications and documentation
- Be an expert with respect to music metadata, information and the competition
Requirements:

- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in various Product Management/Product Marketing roles
- Demonstrated success in taking a product from definition all the way to launch
- 5+ years of experience in a job in the digital media market

- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science)
- Technical background, with experience in computer programming, metadata (music preferred), web APIs
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Capable of flourishing in both structured and un-structured environments.

Front-end Developer
Looking for a new career challenge? If you're ready to seek new challenges in the exciting world of digital music, TuneUp Media is seeking a proactive candidate with excellent communication and computer skills to be an Front-End Developer at our headquarters located in San Francisco.
Responsibilities:
- Programming the user interface/interaction for various features in the TuneUp Companion flagship product, new products and music-related web properties such as Tuniver.se
- Programming and defining interaction between the UI and other product components such as the desktop client (C++) and back-end server (PHP)
- Interface with various 3rd-party data services via RESTful interfaces and handling the XML or JSON responses
- HTML/CSS creation and optimization
- Writing specifications and documentation
- Full project execution as a developer
Requirements:

- Guru-level Javascript ability 5+ years of Javascript development.
- 2+ years of AJAX development experience. In-depth knowledge of available JavaScript libraries and frameworks (eg. Jquery).
- Expert-level CSS and HTML. The ability to create complex, table-less layouts implemented using CSS and semantically correct markup is a must.
- Expert knowledge of XML, JSON, JSONP
- Knowledge of music metadata standards (ID3) and other music technologies (file formats, XSPF)
- BSCS or equivalent experience.
- Experience with other web programming languages (eg. PHP)
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, C++, Python).
- A fine understanding of cross-browser, front-end development issues.
- Ability to manage one's time effectively to meet multiple, tight deadlines.
- Experience working in a project-driven web development environment with short, quick release schedules.
- Capable of flourishing in both structured and un-structured environments.
- Strong self-starter with a can do attitude and enthusiasm for teamwork.
